ABOUT THE IPSWICH ESSEX EXPLORER
A bus service that takes visitors from the Ipswich Train Station to some of the North Shore's most incredible destinations. Visitors may enjoy the area car-free and explore the abundance of recreational, cultural, and historic attractions here.
The Ipswich Essex Explorer is provided by the Cape Ann Transportation Authority and is funded by the Town of Ipswich
FARES
FREE - No Bus Fare is required for the 2025 season.
$2 walk-on fee still applies at Crane Beach.
EXPLORER ONE-WAY FARE
Regular: $1.00
Children under 5: Free
Seniors & Persons w/Disabilities: 50¢
EXPLORE THE BEACH PASS For all riders: $5.00
Includes round trip bus fare and walk-on fee ($2) at Crane Beach
Please have EXACT CHANGE or CHARLIE CARD ready when boarding.
